Darren has extensive strategic experience leading service innovation and delivery in the Higher Education sector. Through times of significant change both within the University, and external change within the sector, he has provided guidance and expertise, responding with agile and adaptive thinking and leadership, to ensure that services remain relevant in a dynamic environment.

He is committed to working in a values driven organisation that has an emphasis on ethics and contribution to community – be that regionally, within Australia or internationally.

Having spent over a decade in regional Australia, Darren understands acutely the challenges and opportunities that regionality presents – particularly in terms of access to post-secondary study and the role that an engaged and embedded University can play in the social and economic empowerment of our regional communities.

Darren’s current role at Federation University Australia sees him leading the development of the University’s physical and virtual infrastructure services, and the full suite of student experience, wellbeing, support and development services that enable and drive participation and success for Federation University’s students.
