The 2018 VDIT Forum will be held on Monday the 26th of November at the Monash University Clayton Campus Learning & Teaching Building (19 Ancoro Imparo Way).  This year’s event will again focus on strategic issues of specific interest to ICT professionals working in the higher education & research sector.

Plenary sessions will include talks from:

  • Sue Elliott, Deputy Vice-Chancellor & Vice-President (Education) Monash University;
  • Richard Cawood, Director Strategy, Ernst Young & principal author of the EY report Can the Universities of Today Lead Learning for Tomorrow? ;
  • Professor Richard Constantine, Vice President Students, Infrastructure and Digital Technologies Victoria University;
  • A Student Panel which will explore their perspectives on ICT in the University sector.

In addition, a number of concurrent sessions will cover issues such as introducing new educational models (Victoria University); BI & predictive analytics; leading edge learning space innovation; the future of ICT support to research; experience with an University application suite review; and a case study of a very large scale wifi transition & roll out.

The VDIT Forum is a free event targeting the senior ICT professionals working in the sector in Tasmania and Victoria as well as invited participants from other states and sectors.

To further improve the professional networking value of the forum this year, VDIT will host drinks and a BBQ for delegates at the end of the programmed event.  Please join with CIOs, industry analysts, commentators and the senior university ICT professional cohort to discuss the important issues.
