Gerard Blood is a Board Director and senior investment executive with over 30 years’ experience creating successful infrastructure and property projects globally. Has lived and worked in the UK, Australia, Canada, Asia and the Middle East.
Mr Blood is past Infrastructure Committee Member of La Trobe University, Board Director of Infrastructure Australia, Western Health and Baptcare.
For over a decade, Mr Blood has provided interim management and consulting services to Government and private sector clients in the region including Australia, Asia and the Middle East. During this period, and prior, he was responsible for infrastructure investment for John Holland Group, Ventia services, insolvency firm PPB Advisory’s director and head of infrastructure, senior executive director at Gulf Finance House and Dubai-based managing director of Macquarie Capital where he took responsibility for expansion in the Middle East and North Africa region. Prior to this he was the group general manager for commercial delivery at RailCorp in NSW, managing director at PPP investor, Bilfinger Berger Concessions and Director of John Laing.
He has deep experience in social infrastructure, transportation infrastructure, energy infrastructure, utilities, government facilities and commercial developments. He is also engaged by government and major corporates to develop and advise on solutions for projects facing difficulties.
Mr Blood has a Masters of Business Administration from London Business School and a Bachelor of Civil Engineering.
Mr Blood has also a co-founder of Untapped Group which places previously unemployable autistic people into high value roles in software testing, data analytics and cyber security.
